New Zealand raced Diss Is Dramatic re-confirmed herself as one of the Shakey Isle’s leading racemates when adding to her impressive black-type record by landing the Gr.2 Japan Trophy (1600m) in her third season of competition.
A stakes winner at both 2- and 3-years, the daughter of Dissident is now a four-time winner at black-type level having also won the Gr.3 Thompson Handicap (1600m) earlier in the same season.

Diss Is Dramatic first burst on the stakes race scene when winning the Listed Champagne Stakes (1200m) as a 2-year-old in May 2022 after saluting on debut when making her first race start in January of that year..
During the following season at three, Diss Is Dramatic added the Gr.3 War Decree Stakes (1600m) during her spring campaign.
A versatile member of the Lisa Latta stable, Diss Is Dramatic has won a total of six races from 1000m-to-1600m on either Good, Soft or Heavy tracks — in the North and South Island.
Diss Is Dramatic was bred by Cambridge Stud and then bought as a Karaka Book 1 yearling by Go Racing for $60,000. A maternal grand-daughter of Darci Brahma, she is bred on the same Dissident-Danehill (USA) cross Yes Baby Yes, Bigboyroyand Resolute — four of six stakes winners sired by the Riverdene Stud resident stallion.
