Dissident mare fetches $100K

The National Sale series of bloodstock auctions hosted by Magic Millions came to a close this week with plenty of trading done in Weanlings, Broodmares and Yearlings over the past fortnight.

Rebel Rama race record

  • 4 wins from 1400m to 2150m, A$608,925, Qld Tatt's RC Gold Crown, L, ATC De Bortoli Wines H., Yulong H., 2d Clarence River JC Grafton Cup, L, ATC Midway H., 3d ATC Aspiration H., Gr.3, Five Diamonds Prelude P., GCTC Subzero H., ATC Fujitsu General H., ANZ Bloodstock News H., 4th Gosford RC Belle of the Turf S., Gr.3.

The Broodmare session saw Rebel Rama, a stakes winning daughter of Riverdene Stud resident sire DISSIDENT, offered on behalf of her ownership group and sold to Belmont Bloodstock for $100,000 — and that's on top of the $608,925 she won them in prizemoney!

Rebel Rama became the third daughter of DISSIDENT to be sold as a broodmare prospect for six-figures. Holding the record is Yes Baby Yes, who changed hands for $520,000 at the 2022 Inglis Chairman's Sale, while Dis Dah Wun was also sold that same year for $170,000.
